YMCA & Acai

Last week I worked out at LA Fitness all week and didn't try any new gyms - this week I got a week pass for The YMCA in Redlands and I tried Body Pump on Monday and Zumba tonight I'm going to wait until the end of the week and try another one or two classes and then I'll write a post on the whole week! 

Until then I thought I would share an acai bowl recipe with you. If you have never tried one you are in for a treat... super food that's super yummy!! 

 Acai Bowl
1 Sambazon acai smoothie berry pack unsweetened (clarks)
1 1/2-2 cups frozen mixed berries (costco)
1/2 cup or more fresh juice - orange, grapefruit, pineapple, etc.
1-2 tsp. raw honey (jacinto farms)
4 drops liquid stevia - optional (trader joes)

Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth - stopping and scraping down blender as needed and only adding enough juice to blend - you want it really thick! Scoop it into a bowl and top with lots of fresh fruit cut in chunks. I used strawberries, blackberries, pineapple, mango and clementines. Then top with chia seeds and homemade granola.

Enjoy - it's super yummy and addicting. Perfect post-workout meal :)
